6 Methods To Control Teen Acne Problems

If you know the causes of pimples, you can better understand the treatment of teen acne problems. When we think of teens, we think of acne. The causes of acne can be related to being a teenager, such as raging hormones and puberty. However, some causes are related to gender, genetics, and skin type.

1. Washing your face 2 or three times a day helps control oil that can cause acne. Soap containing salicylic acid controls acne by exfoliating the top skin layer. Though precautionary measurements can’t prevent teen acne problems completely, it can make a real difference in the number of children suffering from this skin problem.

To put in a more understandable form, teen acne problems are a special condition of skin which leads to the appearance of scars which we often call as pimples or spots. It is a period in human development where frequent changes happen to the body, especially in case of gender related developments. 4. Oil blotters and mattifiers are a great way to take care of excess oil on the face cosmetically. However, they also control excess oil by removing it from the face, preventing blocked pores. These items are becoming more popular and can be used frequently through out the day with out smudging make-up.

5. The best treatment for pimple spots is a benzoyl peroxide cream. While salicylic acid exfoliates the skin, benzoyl peroxide kills the bacteria that rises up from the blocked pores. This cream can be very drying to the skin, so it is not recommended to be used all over the face every day.

6. There are other ways to prevent and treat acne besides just creams and soaps. Some natural remedies that have been researched are the use of vitamins to treat acne.  Vitamin A, some of the B vitamins and zinc have shown some improvement in acne. These recommendations need to be followed by a doctor to prevent accidently overdosing.
